INTRODUCTION VEGAKISS PRODUCT

Vegakiss is the product of the independent State-level scientific project "Research on supporting drugs for the treatment of HIV/AIDS from Dormoy tea tree and Aloe plant" which is led by Critical Diseases Research And Treatment Institure according to Decision No. 2454/QD-BKHCN on 12/11/2003 of the Ministry of Science and Technology.

Vegakiss has been studied preclinically at the Department of Pharmacology at Hanoi Medical University, led by Prof. Dr. Dao Van Phan - Former Head of the Department of Pharmacology.

1.Acute toxicity of jelly Vegakiss:

The acute toxicity was evaluated by the Litchfield-Wilcoxon’s method:LD₅₀:3.65 (3.20-4.16)g/kg

2. Semi-chronic toxicity of jelly Vegakiss :

Based on results of the acute toxicity on mice and semi- chronic toxicity in rabbits, dosage for adults range from 20mg to 80mg/kg body weight per day

3.Vegakiss has been studied pharmacological effects:

3.1.Immune-stimulating effect:

- Cause immunodeficiency by 3 models: by chemicals, by radiation, by highly virulent viruses

- Evaluation criteria: General parameters: number and formula of peripheral blood leukocytes, weight of spleen, relative thymus.

Conclusion: With the orally dose of 0.30g/kg and 0.15g/kg per day for 5 consecutive days, Vegakiss had the effect of improving the immunodeficiency in white mice after cyclophosphami injection (shown by the indicators evaluation of the general state of the immune system: relative weight of spleen and thymus, peripheral blood white blood cell count; cell-mediated immune response: dermal response to OA antigen), not yet clearly showed effect on humoral immunity (proportion of splenic lymphocytes sensitive to sheep erythrocytes).

3.2.Antibacterial effect against some strains of bacteria and fungi causing opportunistic infections in HIV-infected patients.

Conclusion:

- Vegakiss has antibacterial effect on all 4 international sample strains of bacteria Staphylococus aureus ATCC 29213, Bacillus subtilis ATCC 91158, Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC 27855 and Escherichia coli ATCC 25922.

- Vegakiss has an antifungal effect against Candida albicans. The minimum inhibitory concentration of Vegakiss for Candida albicans is 10%.

4. Results of clinical trials on HIV/AIDS patients at Military Hospital 103 according to the Decision of the Ministry of Health: Results on 30 HIV/AIDS patients during 3 months were treated with Vegakiss with a dose of 4-6 Vegakiss capsules 500mg/24h, compared with 30 HIV/AIDS patients treated with pharmaceutical chemicals showed:

4.1.Clinically:

+ Vegakiss has the effect of relieving clinical symptoms for immunocompromised HIV-infected patients and AIDS patients, helping patients to eat and sleep well, gain weight. The patient did not develop any new symptoms during treatment. The group of patients who used pharmaceutical chemicals also made good clinical progress, but during the course of taking drug, patients were tired, ate poorly, and had less weight gain than the Vegakiss group (P<0.05).

4.2. Paraclinical: Vegakiss has the effect of increasing TCD4 index (P<0.01) and reducing HIV concentration (73.3%).

4.3. Undesirable effect: Vegakiss group: Lower than the group using pharmaceutical chemicals.

5. Scientific studies:

According to the report "Research documents on chemistry of Dormoy Tea" (Dormoy tea is a component of Vegakiss products) made by Prof. Dr. Pham Thanh Ky (former Rector of Hanoi University of Science and Technology), shows that: In leaves Dormoy tea has compounds such as Flavonoid, Coumarin, Saponin, Tanin, Phytosterol, Polysaccharid.

In the scientific report "A qualitative and quantitative study of the main groups of substances in Aloe vera leaves" (Aloe vera leaves are also a component of Vegakiss) by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Kim Man and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Kim Can - of the Central Institute of Medicinal Materials, Ministry of Health, also showed that in aloe leaves there are active ingredients: Saponin, anthranoid, Polysaccharid, Flavonoid

According to research documents of scientists around the world such as India, Europe, USA ... about natural compounds capable of preventing and treating Covid-19 include 7 types of compounds as follows: Anthranoids,Coumarin,Flavonoid,Phytosterol,Polysaccharide,Saponin,Tannin

6. Conclusion:

6.1. Seven natural compounds that are being researched by scientists around the world show that these compounds have the ability to prevent and fight Covid-19 are included in the ingredients of Vegakiss products.

6.2. Vegakiss is the product of an independent State-level scientific project led by the Radiner Institute. Vegakiss is derived from Herbs and has been granted Patent No. 5863 by the National Office of Intellectual Property of Vietnam. Decision No. 9087/QD-SHTT dated September 7, 2006 and Certificate of Trademark Protection No. 56542 under Decision No. A 5637/QD-DK dated August 23, 2004.

6.3. Vegakiss is safe, has immune-stimulating effects, and fights opportunistic infections.

6.4. Vegakiss has been circulated by the Food Safety Department of the Ministry of Health with Registration number 2678/2020/DKSP.

7. Recently, Radiner Institute has exploratory treatment for 6 volunteer patients with moderate Sars-CoV-2 with Vegakiss. Most of the patients had symptoms of cough, fever, digestive disorders, and the CT-PCR index was < 30. Initial results showed that after 06 consecutive days of treatment with Vegakiss, oral 60mg/24h/2 after eating. (from 6-8 Vegakiss capsules 500mg /24 hours), on the 7th and 8th day, the patients were sampled for CT-PCR test, the results were 4 patients with CT-PCR index > 30, symptoms Cough, fever, etc. are all gone, the patient is healthy. According to MOH regulations, patients with CT-PCR index > 30 after treatment are less likely to infect and can be sent back to the community for follow-up.
